Hume Cronyn just died. This is significant to this diary because you may remember that in December 2001 I thought I had an encounter with him. What you don't know is that my friends eventually convinced me that it was not Mr. Cronyn who rented Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles, but either someone with the same name who looked surprisingly like him, or his son, Hume Jr.

Having seen recent pictures and a list of his kids' names, I can now confirm that it was neither impostor, but the actual man himself. A point I am making which is useless, since the man just died of prostate cancer at the age of 91.
